Stormy Weather Wines

Here are some of my top suggestions for wines to hunker down with in front of the fire or with that great new TV show. We are migrating towards wines that will be great for the holidays and that would work great for your holiday party. Some of these wines need hours to open up to show the full expression of the wine and others are ready to be opened up and enjoyed right after release.

  • Saggi 2005 $50.00. New Release - I only get 24 bottles (1 Magnum) this year and it will fly out the door. Call to reserve - available Saturday.
  • Goldeneye 2004 Pinot $57.00 by Duckhorn Wines
  • Tertulia Cellars 2005 Red Table $22.00. This is a great wine for the price. Very limited.
  • Portalupi 2005 Pinot $36.00. Personally one of my favorite Pinots from California. This is an incredible price for this well-produced wine.
  • Five Star Cellars 2005 Merlot $32.00. Consistently one of, if not the best, Merlot out of Washington State many years running.
I also want to thank all our great customers for spreading the word about Cellar 46. While in Walla Walla I was rewarded when several smaller, boutique wineries were saying that they knew about us and would like to have their exclusive wines showcased at Cellar 46. This is great for all of us as we continue to watch the Washington wine community grow.
